From Suffering to Strength: The Transformative Power of Pain

As we walk the human journey, we will each experience a variety of challenging cycles within our lives. These cycles are divinely timed as part of our unique experience.

The truth is that pain is an inevitable part of being human. However, our suffering is optional. We have a choice regarding our relationship to pain, and whether or not we suffer because of this pain.

These experiences are deeply spiritual and have been a part of the human journey throughout time.  Painful experiences and circumstances are an opportunity to discover the unknown resources of power within each of us.

Amongst my deepest ethos and practice orientation remains true:

A problem is never the true problem, what matters most is how we orient ourselves around that problem.

An empowering awareness is, we can’t avoid pain. We can avoid suffering.

At its most extreme, the conditions of these cycles are brought to surface through unforeseen life events such as trauma, illness, accidents, death, divorce, financial loss, or any other past or present life circumstance.

Many of us do not even recognize what is occurring, as it is hidden within the pain and chaos of ordinary life.

But we are all here to live our purpose.  Which means, if we are to bring our unique gift or medicine to the world, we must go through the experience of wounding, death and rebirth, and conscious post-traumatic growth before we can live in the fullness of our truth.

Our challenges are the lessons that lead to our own personal power where wisdom can emerge.

In psychology, this has been studied and is known as

‘POST-TRAUMATIC GROWTH’.

This phenomena says that when we experience trauma of any kind, we have the opportunity to be reset in the aftermath of the trauma, which is always a mindset choice.

The viable opportunity exists to have an even more meaningful life after the trauma when we choose to lean into the growth opportunity from the pain or loss.

Simply put, experiences open us to greater wisdom when accompanied with the conscious right action.

This has everything to do with our consciousness and choosing to align with what truly matters to us, which we often only discover after the trauma occurs.

Clarity, trust, self-love and self-worth, and discernment of what is ours to transform and what is not ours to carry forward are the qualities we must cultivate in order to support the growth of wisdom in our lives so that we may walk our path of purpose and fulfillment.

It is taking what we have experienced and learned, and transforming our lives to co-create with this new understanding and meaning for ourselves, and for the world around us through our purpose and meaning.

Exploring the wounded parts of ourselves is how we open to the ultimate possibility that is our life.

Awakening our consciousness and leaning into the pain opens the door to a truly unimaginable possibility.

Living a deeply awakened life is so magnificent and so far beyond most of what we see in the world that even when we experience it for ourselves, we often find it hard to accept that life could be this extraordinary.

But for us to make room in ourselves for the miraculous to take root, we must uncover, and ultimately restructure the belief in a life of limitation and examine our relationship with pain and suffering.

This deeply rooted and often unconscious limitation subtly holds us back from taking the steps of trust required to truly experience our own personal freedom and create a life we love living.

Speaking from personal experience, I know how grateful I am for the traumas in my life.

Although the pain I have experienced personally felt excruciating and unrelenting at times, I would not have become the person I am, fulfilled by the work that I do, and conscious of my authentic Self if it were not for these experiences.

I chose to lean into my post-trauma growth. I sought out healing, I turned inward, I explored my pain and relationship to suffering, I grew a relationship with my subconscious patterns. I became conscious of what I was meant to learn from the pain and who I could become because of it.

My orientation to trauma was to witness the growing edge that was available to me through its discovery and unfolding. In doing so, I vaporized my suffering and became empowered by my pain.

This was my awakening process and the pathway to my highest self.

You can awaken too. It’s never too late to change your relationship with suffering and trauma.

An awakening is not just a glimpse into the future — it’s an awareness of what is already true within you, here and now. What is aching to be birthed through you from your divine blueprint.

This is who you were born to be. It’s your true power, your essence, your genius, and the source of your prosperity and happiness.

When you are cut off from the truth of your essence, you don’t just fail to fulfill your true potential, you experience a disconnection from this divine pattern in you.

That’s why the many attempts people make to solve “the problem/ sickness/ suffering” don’t work — because they are symptoms, not the root cause.

When we rediscover our truth and begin to align with and activate the latent power within us, our suffering dissolves.

This is when miracles can happen.

Are you ready to experience miracles and live out your true purpose?

Are you ready to have trust and faith that no matter what challenges and pain arrive in your life, you are equipped to consciously traverse them and be stronger for it?

I invite you to explore the possibilities with me as your guide.

How To Keep Your Heart Open

One of the greatest challenges of life is to learn how to keep your heart open when you most want to close it.  To stay open through hurt and loss, disappointment, betrayal, and pain.  To allow what’s falling away to fall away.  And to let life crack you open again and again.

The truth is, being human is not always easy.  In fact, often, it feels incredibly hard. But a life well lived takes courage.  It is full of losses and tragedies, as well as triumphs and adventures.

Whatever challenges you may be facing at the moment, life is coaxing you to keep your heart open, no matter how much it hurts.

To find a way to unfold through the extremes.

Perhaps you’re going through a difficult time right now.

Perhaps life is testing you more than you think you can bear.

Perhaps more than anything, you want to shut down and cut yourself off.

Your grief is real.

The healing is happening and it will take as long as it takes.

Be gentle and treat yourself with the tenderness of a precious child, because you are one.  Remember that you have all that you need to create the life you are destined to create.

All you need to do now is to stay open and take the next step. And tomorrow, you will take another.

Trust that you already know what to do. The blueprint is encoded within you.

I believe throughout our lives and through all the extremes, these experiences will be continuous invitations to keep our hearts open.

This is the courageous path from which healing can finally emerge.

Are you struggling to keep your heart open?  Do you feel your soul yearning for a deeper relationship with you?  If you are in need of support and guidance, I am here for you.

When Trauma Leads to Transformation

Exploring the profound truth that while pain is inevitable, suffering is optional. Learning to lean into growth transforms trauma into wisdom through conscious action.

Integrating the Shadow

We are not meant to stay wounded. We are supposed to move through our tragedies and challenges and to help each other move through the many painful episodes of our lives. By remaining stuck in the power of our wounds, we block our own transformation. We overlook the greater gifts inherent in our wounds – the strength to overcome them and the lessons that we are meant to receive through them. Wounds are the means through which we enter the hearts of other people. They are meant to teach us to become compassionate and wise.
-Carolyn Myss

When our minds dominate so much of our lives, we tend to feel internally fragmented.

The nature of the mind is to seek understanding and safety.

Splitting life into good/ bad and right/ wrong is a very natural process because it helps us to survive. But splitting life into polarities also creates tremendous suffering within us.

Why?

Because we grow up learning that some parts of us are “good” while other parts of us are “bad.” We then attach to the “good” parts of ourselves and repress or deny the “bad” parts of ourselves.

When we start to perceive ourselves in a fragmented way, we feel flawed, lacking, and incomplete. We start to feel insecure, anxious, lonely, depressed, and in some extreme cases suicidal.

Our true essence has been diluted. ⠀⠀

We greatly crave to love and embrace ourselves, but how can we fully accept who we are when we hate some parts of ourselves and love other parts?

When we integrate, we unite different parts of ourselves that may have been missing.

It is in this process we can begin the journey toward true healing.

In order to repair, heal, and grow on a mental, emotional, and spiritual level, it’s important to visit the darker parts of ourselves, often called our Shadow.

The Shadow isn’t just the wounded part of us, but it is also the path towards a more authentic and fulfilling life, a path to becoming whole again.

It may feel frightening at first, but it’s the most important step if you want to experience deep, lasting healing.

But you don’t have to do it alone.

I can offer loving guidance as you peel back the layers to all parts of yourself so you may reconnect to the truth of who you are.

When the timing feels divine, please know that I am always here for you.

Pathway of the Awakened Life

I wish I could show you when you are

lonely or are in darkness the astonishing light

of your own being.

 -HAFIZ

You are not alone if you are feeling lost, scared, confused and exhausted in the world today.

We have been squeezed and pressed to our breaking points for prolonged periods of time and in so many ways.

The pressure is dense and painful. The trauma is palpable in ourselves, and in one another.

With the collective stress and anxiety we’ve all experienced in one way or another over these past years, it’s no wonder the majority suffer from dis-regulated and overtaxed nervous systems.

I want to acknowledge the pain and suffering you are feeling. It is real and it is valid. And, it is your responsibility and opportunity to heal and transform it.

One of the deep ethos I live by and practice from is – ‘A problem is not the true problem rather, what matters most is how we orient ourselves to the problem.’

Certainly, the circumstances of your pain matters, but what matters more than the details is the process you apply to these trials.

In other words, your life is what you choose to do in response to your challenge, tragedy or upheaval.

These choices define our quality of life and wellbeing and ultimately communicate our energy signature and values to the world around us.

And so our life is.

That’s why I practice from a lens of opportunity and ownership. An eagle’s perspective greets the torment and torture we are in, but ultimately rises beyond the limitation to a higher altitude.

Any real growth is born from the paradigm of our empowered being. To move beyond distress and dis-ease, we need to truly witness the density of emotions and energy which are a natural part of our humanness.

We can then absorb the shift that will come in this allowing and tender self-witnessing. We may come to know that we always possess choice if we turn our gaze inward with clear sight.

Portal of light

The clearest pathway to our personal liberation will illuminate itself if we dare to listen and take conscious action.

Who are you becoming? Does the expression of that align with your deepest desires? Are you operating from lack, fear, anger, impulse, or victimhood?

Our desires are a road map to the deepest longing of our highest selves.

These are our virtues.

It is prudent that you bravely explore your true desires and be willing to endure the longing as you consciously walk toward your true pleasures.

There may be a distance to walk, but this is the pathway of the awakened life.

Notice where you cling to your suffering. Where you actually choose to collude with it and therefore, draw it closer to you.

Accepting what exists inside your reality not only allows you to understand what you are doing, but to see clearly it is not who you are.

You get to choose who you are when you come to understand that life does not happen to you, it happens through you.

This highly conscious work can be confronting and overwhelming.

It is vital to commune with these internal disparate parts in order to walk toward our healing and transformation so that we may be a renewed source of healing and luminary for others.

It’s ok to ask for help. Through invitation and curiosity, you will find the guidance you seek.

If you are going through an initiation and descent currently, (which simply means that you are having a hard time and life is not in flow for you), remember you are being called to a higher space inside yourself.

If you answer the call from your heart-center, I assure you, liberation and rewards await.

Above all else, it is most important for you to remember that no matter your circumstances or hardship, you do not have to navigate through any of it alone.

It’s ok to feel what you feel and it’s ok to not feel ok. This space is in-fact the gateway to the unfolding and becoming.

The way I practice is unique and pulls from both science and spirituality, and it’s not for everyone. That’s ok. This is elevated work which is indeed available to anyone who chooses to walk toward a peaceful, abundant, pleasure filled life.

The Divine Within Us

There are times in each of our lives when we experience a sense of loneliness.  And often these feelings come on intensely during the dark, short days of the fall when the veil is thin, and the underworld feels omnipresent.

Being alone isn’t always a bad thing, it can actually be revitalizing, and can open a door into our innermost Holy dimensions.

But when solitude transitions into a hollow and dark feeling of loneliness, it’s possible to undergo a deep psychological crisis.

With the world landscape continuing to be an activated present timeline, many of us are feeling the heaviness, turmoil and isolation.  We are experiencing the walls closing in.

Yet, we feel dissonance and loss, as if light-years apart from one another inside our collapsed realities. A stirring discontent and incoherence. A looming low vibrational hum. Invocation into the underbelly of darkness.

When you are going through a life crisis, you’ll naturally feel separated from yourself and others.

Maybe you’re starting to wonder whether you’re the only one who feels isolated and afraid.  Perhaps you’re even wondering if you’re helpless and damaged beyond repair.

You are not.

If you were to ask for an antidote to the anguish of human loneliness, I would suggest that you reencounter and reexamine the connection that unites us with the earth, our lost ‘umbilical cord’. I would invite you to recognize the presence of an inexhaustible love that remains unaffected by human affairs. It is not so difficult. Look around, remember the being that sustains us, and realize you are at home, always at home.

– The Teachings of Don Carlos

Within all of us, there is a deeper essence, a mysterious spark longing to burn brighter. That deeper essence is the Soul, which is part of the energetic Life Force that runs through all things, an intrinsic vibrational signature holding codes of wisdom and passion.

The Soul is ferocious in its vision and appetite for evolution, awakening and alignment. The Soul beckons and encourages our humanly-selves to participate willingly to fulfill our highest destiny. To take up ALL the space we were designed for.

Loneliness can often be a sign that you’re undergoing a spiritual awakening process, or an initiation to your next ascent – and this journey tends to start with the painful discovery of how alienated one is from their own Soul and their highest vibrational expression. A descent unraveling.

In actuality, this speaks to significant aspects we are disconnected from within our Souls, and we feel isolated from our true virtues, essence and expression of these. It occurs when we have lost touch with that Divine essence within us. When we allow apathy, lack, false truths, immobility and victimhood to make a home inside of us. We might even begin to identify with the heavy density of these vibrational energies. A disparity between our highest Self, and our current existence.

What you are going through may be perfectly normal in the context of what we’re all invited to experience in our own ways in this moment. You’re not alone in feeling alone. But try to remember, the dis-ease you feel is an invitation to transmute and transform.  It is temporary.

However, if you feel desperate and lonely, I strongly encourage you to seek out a trauma-informed spiritual therapist or healer, to provide a compassionate container and higher altitude to shaman you beyond simply managing or overcoming these obstacles on the surface, but to truly travel, discern and integrate what meaning and opportunity for expansion lurks within the underworld of your Being.

The truth is, we are never alone.

Although human connection and relational framework dynamics are our greatest challenge and gift here earth-side, it is quintessential to feel connected to our Self. To feel admiration and gratitude for the company you keep in the quietude and stillness of your inner landscape is our greatest purpose. In this graceful, vast solitude exists our most vibrant and vital connection of all.

Our true home.

It is from our sacred internal center, and relationship with Self we discover harmony, truth, peace, satiety, and love. It is from this internal center, and nowhere else, we reach blissful states of Wholeness, Oneness, Enlightenment, and Unity Consciousness.

From this still-point, dan-tien, internal locus of control or origin-point, we synchronize with the eternalness of our Being with trust; our connection to a Higher Power, Ancestors, animals, symbols, angels, guides, Beings of light, our inner child, higher Self, Soul, the Quantum field, shadow and light; an ethereal spark.

A complete connection and conversation is always available when we settle into the void. The void is not empty, but rather spacious and filled with everything, and nothing.

Consciousness trespassed.

To experience a truly meaningful journey in any time or space, we must first orient ourselves though the journey inward. We must welcome the descent, in order to truly ascend. Inherently we are summoned to expand in the container of contrast. It’s our privilege and choice.

If it feels like you are inside the depths of a personal descent either by your conscious examination, or overwhelmed and against your will, I invite you to consider the opportunity.

As a fellow seeker who has undergone endless catalogs of lonely and grief-filled descents myself, I know this to be true. Each time we plunge into the depths from which we fear we cannot endure or survive, we do.

The offering is to become freer, clearer, lighter, softer, stronger, purer, more vital, vibrant and higher in our concentration and frequency of Divine intelligence. Therefore, penetrating our unique and intimate relationship with wholeness, and the field of inter-connection to other souls, and life itself.

Always, unequivocally.

But we must welcome the grotesque, the loneliness, the descent, and make friends with it. We must be curious about why it’s festering what it needs us to learn.

The less we resist, the faster the transformation. The more loving and open we become within this terrifying unknown abyss, the sooner we can integrate our newfound treasures, lost fragments, activations, downloads and our highest potentiality.

In this current timeline on earth and the voided space we are in both personally, and collectively, a thick soup of inflammation, irritation and contrast looms. These descents are bigger and more frequent than ever. Yet, we are able to rapidly transform and ascend through them like never before.

The planet and our Souls are ripe with opportunity for expansion.

If you feel called, I invite you to reach out to me for guidance to find your way back home, to not miss the opportunity for your growth. We all need a lighthouse with clear vision as we spin wildly in the cyclone of our private falling towers and dungeons of undoing. You mustn’t battle alone anymore.

Energy Medicine Explained

Have you noticed that when we witness or experience shame, abandonment or neglect, particularly at a young age, the shock from that experience remains with us as an unconscious somatic traumatic imprint in our system?

The reverberations echo through us today.

These disappointments and traumas left un-mended become our core wounds, or the deepest fundamental beliefs that we have about ourselves on the subconscious level. Therefore, our habitual thoughts, feelings and behaviors.

How would you experience life if you could nourish and reorganize these imprinted subconscious patterns, heal your fragmentation, and re-imagine your ideal virtues?
Can we become resilient and devotional to these un-met parts? Sovereign. Integrated. And Whole again?

Casey Stevens holding large crystal

There are infinite psychologies, ancient medicine practices and quantum healing techniques that can be used to help you to overcome discontent, dis-ease, dis-regulation, defense mechanisms, and maladaptive patterns organically. You can grow and awaken to live from a place of individuation, autonomy, agency, flow, joy, and love.

Energy healing modalities honor the inter-connection between the physical body, and the emotional, mental, and spiritual bodies. A psychological-spiritual lens is systemic and multi-dimensional, and holds that dis-order can appear in any of these layers when impacted by imbalances, and fragmented parts from any other layer of our being, or timeline.

Therefore, healing occurs when we descend into these fragmented aspects and retrieve our healthy un-met needs by delivering softness, kindness, presence, and attunement to our younger self who was injured. In this reckoning, an awakened, empowered, embodied Self emerges with clarity and peace, eager to create presence with themselves and others, build a luminous future.

Blending traditional psychologies with quantum energy healing techniques may be used for the clearing and activation of cellular memory and neural pathways, light codes and subliminal trauma responses of the human energy field. Multidimensional psychotherapy promotes health, balance and wellbeing throughout the body, the psyche, and the spirit within the space and time continuum.

This modern medicine is potent.

Energy Medicines Explained

This form of therapy is intuitive, ethereal and ineffable. It derives from Eastern Ancient Medicine practices and training and the quantum consciousness of all frequencies, focusing on expansive energy expression and coherent organization. Patterns, memory fields, psychic traumas and limiting beliefs are re-organized to amplify conscious awareness and an invitation to initiate embodiment of that which we do not readily know, see or understand, illuminated as our innate truth.

Integrating quantum energy medicine into clinical psychotherapy sessions invokes radical shifts and changes in dense, old and stuck patterns you have come to identify with, suffer endlessly from, and yet maintain as part of your daily reality. Quantum mechanics, when used in aligned resonance, delivers you to your truest, highest soul expression.

During quantum sessions we isolate, organize and restructure non-productive, maladaptive patterns and create clarity and transformation to propel you forward with inspired purpose.

You may benefit from this approach if…

  • You feel stuck and unmotivated
  • You feel lost, disempowered, and don’t know yourself
  • You experience a lot of self doubt and worry
  • You find yourself repeating unhealthy patterns personally and interpersonally
  • You find yourself reliving the past
  • You experience a pattern over and over again that seems to block you from moving beyond your current circumstances
  • You are living the “life of your dreams” and yet you aren’t as happy as you expected to be
  • You are successful, yet acutely suffering in your inner world
  • You are seeking clarity for life purpose and guidance on your pathway

  • You are experiencing a spiritual awakening, or transiting a dark night of the soul and need a container and guide
  • You are struggling to overcome your challenges alone

  • Break the grip of past pains
  • Heal painful family dynamics
  • Transcend archaic relational frameworks
  • Release yourself from fear
  • Surrender the victim consciousness you wear as a badge
