Dark Night of the Soul: Losing Who You Were

There are seasons when life quietly rearranges us.

Not through loud announcements or clear signs but through the soft unraveling of what no longer fits.

If you’ve found yourself in a liminal space lately – tender, disoriented, stripped of former identities – you are not alone.

What you may be experiencing is what mystics and seekers call The Dark Night of the Soul. A sacred, if disorienting, passage where old versions of self dissolve and something deeper begins to awaken.

It is not a breakdown; it is a breakthrough. A soul-deep recalibration.

Many of my clients are feeling this right now, intensely and deeply. And it’s no wonder.

The world stage is cracking open—political unrest, natural disasters, economic instability, collective grief—and yet we don’t just witness it out there.

We feel it in our own homes. In our bodies. In our family systems. In the unspoken tensions at dinner tables and in the quiet spaces of our thoughts.

The ground beneath us feels unstable. There is so much fear moving through the collective, and it is palpable.

In this climate, it’s easy to feel unmoored. But these tremors are also revealing the parts of us – individually and collectively – that are ready to be alchemized.

And it’s okay if you feel confused. It’s okay if you feel grief.

Grief is part of the transformation process. It signals that something is ending, and something else—still unknown—is beginning to form.

But here’s the truth: we cannot bypass the grief.

From a clinical perspective, when we suppress grief, we freeze parts of our emotional and nervous system regulation.

From a spiritual perspective, we interrupt the natural cycle of death and rebirth.

True healing means sitting with what aches – not to wallow, but to witness

To create the safety within ourselves to feel, without collapsing.

This is what builds capacity. This is how we expand our nervous system’s tolerance for discomfort. And that expansion is empowering.

Because what if instead of avoiding the discomfort, we learned to stay with it?

To breathe through it? To stay curious?

This is the work of integration. And it is not just mystical—it is backed by science.

The more we learn to regulate our nervous system, to meet the moment with grace instead of judgment, the more power we reclaim. We move from reactive to responsive. From fragmented to whole.

This is how we remember our sovereignty.

Because the more we know who we are, the less the external world has power over us. We stop outsourcing our safety. We stop looking for permission. We stop collapsing every time the world shakes. Instead, we become rooted, resourced, and resilient.

This is the power of conscious awareness.

It’s not just a concept – it’s a practice.

I support my clients in learning how to embody this awareness. How to meet life’s thresholds without fear. How to integrate the science of regulation with the sacred art of transformation.

This is not just about spiritual bypassing or positive thinking. It’s about real, tangible healing.

So if you’re in this space of grief, change, transition, or questioning… I want you to know:

You’re not broken. You’re becoming.

And I would be honored to walk beside you.

If this is where you are, I invite you to book a session.

Let’s tend to what’s stirring. Let’s honor what’s ending. Let’s make space for what wants to be born.

A Sweet Invitation: Join My Monthly Community Gathering

For a long time now, something within me has been making itself known. A sense that the work wants to move beyond the individual container—without losing its depth. A knowing that healing, at this stage, asks not only for insight, but for relationship.

A call to gather.

I’m writing today to share a new offering that has been asking to be born for quite some time: a monthly community space devoted to healing, integration, and conscious connection.

Why I’ve created this space-

So many people who are drawn to this work find themselves in an in-between place. You’re no longer who you were. But you’re not fully who you’re becoming.

Old identities, relationships, and ways of orienting to life don’t quite fit anymore. And yet the next layer hasn’t fully revealed itself. This can feel isolating—even when you’re doing “all the right things.”

This monthly gathering is designed to meet that threshold.

It’s a place to come together with others who are invested in healing—

not as a self-improvement project, but as a relational process.

A space where you don’t have to explain the language you speak inside.

A space where depth, curiosity, and inner honesty are welcomed.

What happens in the gathering-

Each month, we meet live for 90 minutes in a held, intentional circle.

We begin by anchoring the space—settling the nervous system, orienting toward presence, and naming intention. From there, the gathering unfolds organically.

There may be teaching.

There may be reflection or guidance.

There may be moments of being witnessed—or witnessing someone else and receiving exactly what you needed through them.

This work is integrative by nature. It draws from psychology, nervous system awareness, relational dynamics, and the subtle intelligence that emerges when we listen beneath the surface. There is no fixed script or single modality—because healing is not linear, and people are not formulas.

What matters most is that the space remains attuned.

Who this is for-

This space is for you if:

  • You’ve worked with me before and want to stay connected to the work in a lighter, ongoing way
  • You’ve been curious about my approach but haven’t felt ready for 1:1 work
  • You’re longing for community that feels grounded, emotionally intelligent, and real
  • You want a consistent rhythm of self-honoring presence amid a busy life.

You don’t have to come every month for it to be meaningful. If you can’t attend live, you’ll receive the recording. But my hope—and my intention—is that this becomes something you plan for. Something you let anchor your month.

Because real change doesn’t happen accidentally. It happens when we make space for it.

The details-

  • Live monthly gathering (90 minutes)
  • Third Wednesday of every month
  • First gathering: February 18

Open to all, wherever you are in the world. Recordings provided if you can’t attend live.

This is a space I will be actively holding—with my presence, my experience, and my full attention. I’m deeply curious about what wants to emerge here, and how this community may grow over time.

If you feel even a quiet pull, I encourage you to listen to that.

I would love to welcome you into this circle.

If you feel drawn to this work and would like to be the first to know when registration is live, I invite you to join the waitlist below. You’ll receive a personal note as soon as the space is ready to welcome people in.

At the Threshold: Endings to Beginnings

What a time of year to celebrate!

We are at a crossroads of endings and beginnings. The winter solstice, the holy days, and the coming new year weave together a profound tapestry of meaning—a rhythm that calls us to pause, to reflect, and to trust in the cycles of life and spirit.

The solstice, the darkest night of the year – which happened in the Northern Hemisphere on December 21st – is not a time of loss but of sacred stillness. It is the exhale before the inhale, a moment when the earth herself takes a breath, holding us in the safety of the darkness so that we might remember our light.

This holy pause invites you to sit with all you’ve carried, all you’ve endured, and to see it not as weight but as wisdom. Every challenge, heartbreak, and triumph has prepared you for this moment—to stand here in the quiet knowing of your magic, your resilience, and your truth.

The holy days are not a call to do more or to be more; they are an invitation to soften, to settle into the essence of who you are, and to honor the beauty of simply being.

A new year doesn’t ask for reinvention or drastic change. Instead, it offers a chance to realign with what matters most. You don’t need to become someone new—you’re already enough.

This transition is an opportunity to reflect and ask: What do I truly want? What makes me feel alive? What steps will bring me closer to the person I’m meant to be?

This sacred time reveals a deeper truth: life moves in cycles, and so do we.

Just as the sun returns after the longest night, you too hold the capacity for renewal. We are part of something greater—a natural flow that reminds us to trust in the promise of light after darkness, of beginnings after endings. An opportunity to reclaim your power and find your place in the ever-turning cycles of life.

This season is not just a time to celebrate, but to remember. To honor the path that brought you here, with all its twists and unknowns. To welcome your deepest desires, your hopes, your dreams, and to let them be a beacon for the year ahead.

Everything you have faced has primed you for this: a season of easeful connection, the ability to trust in your magic, and the recognition of your deepest desires.

May this time hold you softly, reminding you that you are always in perfect harmony with something greater than yourself.

You are part of the turning of the earth, the dance of the stars, and the endless unfolding of life’s mystery.

You Are Safe to Heal: A Journey Through Self-Compassion and Inner Light

Healing often feels like you’re waking up from a dream. It doesn’t require you to forget about or try to erase the past, rather it requires you to integrate it.

Remember, life is our teacher. No matter what you are experiencing, healing is always available to you.

Does it happen quickly? No.

Is it easy? Absolutely not.

But instead of punishing yourself for not being further along, I invite you to hold on to the belief that you are, for now, right where you need to be.

Please don’t punish yourself for the ways you acted out your pain when you were merely trying to survive.

One of the biggest blocks along the path of healing is unpacking the guilt and shame we’ve carried with us for the ways we let ourselves or others down.

Not only do we lose trust in others at the imprint of trauma or betrayal, but we can also lose trust in ourselves.

When we are feeling abandoned, afraid, alone, untrusting or angry it is our shadow that can take hold. It doesn’t make you wrong or bad. Forgive yourself for feeling these ways and give yourself permission to heal and claim the light inside of you.

As you commune with deeper layers of grief, you are being taught to show up more compassionately towards yourself and others.

Healing takes time and courage. It takes forgiveness and love…for others and Self. You are not meant to carry your old stories of darkness and trauma to your deathbed.

Every moment is an opportunity to shed generations of familial and ancestral trauma.

Judging yourself only slows the process, keeps you blocked, holds you hostage to your own pain.

Tend to your shadows. Hold your inner-child with love, tenderness and acceptance.

Honor the walls you’ve had to build. They were there to protect you and keep you safe.

You are safe to feel what you feel now.

Trust your heart. The light in you has always been there and will never lead you astray.

Let a new story birth itself from all you have learned and overcome to be here now. Whatever you had to go through to come to this place of awakening was a divinely orchestrated gift.

And above all else, always remember…you are so deeply loved. So deeply loved.

Navigating the Storms of Change

In the whirlwind of life’s transitions, we continue to find ourselves standing at the threshold of change, where our foundations are being tested and transformed. How is your nervous system doing?

As we navigate crossing these thresholds and periods of rapid upleveling, it’s important that we also recognize the opportunities they present. We can either resist the change or choose to deepen our faith and simply observe how the old paradigms are dying off and being replaced with the new.

But these changes can feel chaotic and ungrounded. Resist the urge to cling to the familiar – old patterns, beliefs, or relationships. Our survival systems are being activated. It’s normal for you to feel flooded with uncertainty around what the world will look like once the storm settles.

Remember, there’s always a choice. You can deepen into faith, nurture the parts that feel overwhelmed, and unapologetically mother yourself through the process.

The source of your safety comes from within.

With the world undergoing significant transformations, the pressure continues to build. Whatever has unfolded in the past weeks, months, or years has been in service to our evolution.

Push against the walls of comfort and familiarity, for it is when we release this resistance that growth and expansion occur. Get intimate with your limits and thresholds so you may learn to build the capacity and strength needed to navigate the chaos of the world.

This is a good time to find something – even something small – to anchor into. It could be a daily meditation practice or personal ritual, a quiet walk in nature, or a comforting chat with a good friend. Go back to basics, focusing on the small things you can control.

These are the building blocks of a strong, secure safety system.

It would be my honor to guide you through integration, creating a deeply transformative container to explore the parts holding you in unhealthy patterns and behaviors.

Finding Strength and Peace in the Present Moment

Goodness, the world is asking a lot of us.  How are you doing through it all?

If you are feeling activated or triggered by global events or by the noise and chaos of the holiday season you are not alone.

Can you take a moment to pause, to sit in stillness and find your breath?  Can you feel the life force in your body, the frequency of love vibrating through every cell of your being?

Love is the most powerful force on this planet.

Much of what we are seeing in the news and media is activating a trauma response in many people, keeping us stuck in a dysregulated nervous system. Survival.

Now is the time to reach for the ever present light within you.

We are far greater, stronger, more powerful when we’re united by the golden thread that connects us all. Love. Light. Consciousness.

The world is delivering some heavy lessons. This is why we must take the time to anchor into our center and surrender.

Our center point is where we remember that we’re both human and divine, that we’re okay, that we’re safe, that we’re alive, breathing.

Our center point is where we remember that we’re not alone, that we’re a part of a whole, the one. Where we drop into our humanity, and our divinity at the same time.

When we’re disconnected from our center, we’re forced to function and project from the past and future.  From old stories and past conditioning rather than the present moment.

Our center brings us home, allows us to melt into the present, and reminds us of our sovereignty.

This is where the alchemy lies.  In this exact moment. From the center point of our hearts. Where we are safe to be both human and divine.

Hold and nurture this knowing.

It’s all within, at your center, in your heart.

Embracing the Underworld: A Journey of Shadow Work and Renewal

Collectively we are dealing with radically uncertain times. All around us, we are feeling the charged energy vibrating throughout the cosmos. You may even be feeling triggered and unstable in many areas of your own personal life.

I believe the world is experiencing a spiritual descent into the Underworld.

When I speak of the Underworld, I’m not referring to a physical place, but a metaphoric place within ourselves. The Underworld is the deepest, most hidden part of ourselves where we suppress, repress, and bury all that we don’t want to look at, see, deal with or heal.

Carl Jung refers to this as “shadow work.”

Many of us are experiencing a descent into our shadow material, to our own darkness, shedding what no longer serves us.

As we approach these deep parts of ourselves, we have the opportunity to let go; to clear the old, stagnant and oppressive energy so that we may be born again into a more expanded version of ourselves. This requires acceptance.

The Universe is in constant expansion and so are we. Just as we are not separate from each other, we are not separate from Nature or the Cosmos.

When we look around, we see everything in nature going into a deep sleep or dying away. The trees are losing their leaves, but they are not dead- they are in a time of transition where they will come back to life again in the Spring. This transition is occurring within you, too.

We are planting the potent golden seeds for a new beginning.

We’re called to have patience and enter a state of deep rest, repair, regeneration, and acceptance. To let a part of our lives, or even who we once were, metaphorically die in order to seed, sprout, bud, and bloom again.

This is called resilience.

It is a reminder to all of us –

We must trust and stay open to what is dissolving away to make room for more light, expansiveness, growth and healing.

We must be willing to let go and grieve the death of what once was and no longer needed.

It’s easy to mistake this phase of growth as one where everything that once felt safe and secure seems to be falling apart. But beneath the surface of the dormant soil, things have never been more active.

We are experiencing a phase of initiation, renewal, and rebirth. Collectively and personally.  You ought to give yourself time and space to recover and rest.

This is perhaps the most important part of our growth. And it takes faith and surrender to do it.

This is a very tender, powerful time.  Trust the sureness of the fertile soil.

How Our Wounds Are A Divine Gift

These are indeed turbulent times.  The world continues to challenge us, our values, our belief in the goodness of humanity.

How are you doing with it all?

I am sensing, collectively, that many of our triggers are being activated and that is not easy on the nervous system.  It’s not easy to be in our world right now. To feel the discomfort as we watch old paradigms and programs crumble in preparation for something better to be rebuilt.

Both externally and internally, we are experiencing the sacred path of transformation for the purpose of transcendence.  The new earth consciousness.

What we’re being asked to remember is that each challenge we face is an opportunity to deepen our faith and trust in ourselves.

But these challenges feel painful as we reckon with our triggers and how the old way of doing things no longer works to keep us feeling safe.

It may have played an important role in our lives at one point, but what once felt like control, now only adds to our suffering.

Journeying through these dark, activating times requires deep soul work.
We’re meant to lose our inner compass in order to find the medicine within our own being to reorient ourselves.
To find our center. Where the light never dies.

We meet our triggers, our wounds, throughout the many different spectrums of life.  It cannot be avoided.

But the more conscious we become, the more aware, the more we witness them, we’re given the opportunity to integrate them more.

Our wounds are a divine gift of our humanity, our great teachers.  They offer us an opportunity to experience the absolute fullness of life on this earthly plane.

If you are feeling activated by the noise and chaos of current world events, I invite you to witness yourself, drop into the sensations you are feeling in your body, and be with it.

This is an invitation to trust the wisdom in your body, to integrate the feelings and allow your heart to soften.

You are here because you matter.  Stay true to your values.  Remember who you are, why you came.

There’s so much uncertainty woven into the fabric of these times.  But your job is simply to remember that it is an invitation into deeper intimacy with our bodies, our faith, our inner knowing.

Can you feel it?

Nurture that space, invite in more love.

Finding Your Way Back To Yourself

You are holy and whole. You are human, innocent and innately good.  Have you forgotten?

In our lifetime, through our childhood and life experiences we have separated from this sacred truth.

The good news is, you can always find your way back to yourself. But it will take some work.

This is the call you have been waiting for to both soften and commit. To dig deep and open your heart wide. To root yourself in devotion, to live according to the compass deep in the center point of your heart.

Here is what I know for sure…

To light up the world you must first

turn on your own inner light.

To heal the world around us you must

first heal yourself.

To soothe the separation in the world,

you must heal the separation you feel

within yourself.

To create Heaven on earth you must

first find heaven within your own body,

to see it as holy and sacred.

To birth a new age, you must first

rebirth yourself.

And in every moment there is an opportunity for rebirth.

You must commit to your devotional practice and soul work like never before. You must take notice of what is rising in you and what is falling away. And instead of banishing the shadow, you must tenderly offer it up to the light over and over again.

This work is not easy. Which is why not everyone does it.

But you are not everyone.

You must find a way to keep your heart tender and open despite what is unfolding around and within you.

You must find a way to anchor and weave the light in whatever corner of the world you find yourself in.

It takes courage to set your gifts free. To look into the face of the things that you’re afraid to do and be and get curious about what’s on the other side.

But, I promise you, when you gather up the courage and lean into it, something magical happens.

Facing your fears and breathing through them, creating through them, moving through them – on the other side, you will discover your greatest gifts, joys, pleasures and purpose.

These gifts are the seeds that have been planted within you from the beginning and they are waiting for the light to shine upon them so they can fully blossom and show their truest beauty.

Are you ready for your gifts to be revealed?

The beauty of true healing and transformation is always available to you. You can reclaim your power through each choice you make.

How To Keep Your Heart Open

One of the greatest challenges of life is to learn how to keep your heart open when you most want to close it.  To stay open through hurt and loss, disappointment, betrayal, and pain.  To allow what’s falling away to fall away.  And to let life crack you open again and again.

The truth is, being human is not always easy.  In fact, often, it feels incredibly hard. But a life well lived takes courage.  It is full of losses and tragedies, as well as triumphs and adventures.

Whatever challenges you may be facing at the moment, life is coaxing you to keep your heart open, no matter how much it hurts.

To find a way to unfold through the extremes.

Perhaps you’re going through a difficult time right now.

Perhaps life is testing you more than you think you can bear.

Perhaps more than anything, you want to shut down and cut yourself off.

Your grief is real.

The healing is happening and it will take as long as it takes.

Be gentle and treat yourself with the tenderness of a precious child, because you are one.  Remember that you have all that you need to create the life you are destined to create.

All you need to do now is to stay open and take the next step. And tomorrow, you will take another.

Trust that you already know what to do. The blueprint is encoded within you.

I believe throughout our lives and through all the extremes, these experiences will be continuous invitations to keep our hearts open.

This is the courageous path from which healing can finally emerge.

Are you struggling to keep your heart open?  Do you feel your soul yearning for a deeper relationship with you?  If you are in need of support and guidance, I am here for you.
