The Medicine of Darkness: Honoring the Cycles Within

As we transition into the Fall season, the shifting energies around us reflect a deeper truth that we, too, experience within. Just as nature moves from vibrant summer blooms into the quietude and rest of autumn, we are invited to honor the balance between light and dark within ourselves.

It’s easy to resist change, to fear the unknown, and to cling to what we think we can control. But this resistance often leads to suffering, keeping us in survival mode and preventing us from embracing the flow of life.

In Fall, we are reminded of the cycle of death and rebirth. The leaves fall, creating space for new growth. Similarly, within us, there is a need to surrender to the darkness, the uncharted places we may fear, and allow them to be the fertile ground for new possibilities.

When we release our grip and trust the process of life, we create the conditions for profound healing and growth.

Darkness is not something to be feared but embraced. Life itself begins in the rich soil beneath the surface, where roots grow strong, before blossoming into the light.

Just like nature, we, too, need the dark to nourish us. It’s in the descent into our shadow—those parts of ourselves we’ve rejected or disowned—that true healing begins.

This is the medicine of darkness: integration, acceptance, and ultimately, growth toward the light.

In psycho-spiritual healing, we honor the interconnectedness of mind, body, and spirit. The true magic happens when we explore the deeper parts of ourselves, not just in the intellect but in the heart and body.

Multidimensional healing, whether through therapy, bodywork, or spiritual practices, supports this process, aligning us with our innate wholeness. Those parts of you that have felt unworthy or unloved are waiting to be embraced, so they can return to their rightful place in your whole being.

This is the journey to clarity, peace, and the freedom to create the life you desire.

Through conscious awareness, we see that we are not our thoughts. The beliefs and patterns ingrained in us over time do not define who we are at our core. Beneath these layers is your true self—pure, innocent, and whole.

Fall invites us to release these old patterns, much like trees shedding their leaves, so that we may create space for a more aligned, joyful life.

This season, I invite you to explore these parts of yourself with gentleness and curiosity. As you shed the old and embrace the new, allow yourself to be supported in this process of transformation.

Beyond the Breakthrough: Integration is the Real Work

Our journey towards healing is not linear but rather a series of ebbs and flows. We take quantum leaps forward, then pull back to integrate our new experiences, preparing ourselves for the next leap. It’s in these moments of pulling back that the most profound transformations occur.

This is where we show our younger, vulnerable parts that we are strong, capable, and committed to change. Through practice, structure, and repetition, we prove our seriousness and dependability to ourselves.

Integrating new patterns takes time. It’s a practice that requires compassion, and commitment.

It requires going into the depths, into the roots of our traumas and patterns and create an environment where healing and transformation can fully take hold. Every part of our being must be included in this practice, or we risk defaulting back to old ways.

There are many modalities and tools available to help rewire the brain and body, healing the fragmented spaces within us. Yet, it always comes back to practice.

Consistently choosing the heart over the wound, responding from our adult parts while nurturing our younger selves, and bringing loving honesty to our shadows allows for true embodied evolution.

Meditation is an ancient technique that offers a powerful way to access inner peace, clarity, and Oneness. It is scientifically validated to help undo the damaging impacts of these mental traps.

Persistence in meditation, even when it feels challenging, will yield results beyond your imagination.

From Suffering to Strength: The Transformative Power of Pain

As we walk the human journey, we will each experience a variety of challenging cycles within our lives. These cycles are divinely timed as part of our unique experience.

The truth is that pain is an inevitable part of being human. However, our suffering is optional. We have a choice regarding our relationship to pain, and whether or not we suffer because of this pain.

These experiences are deeply spiritual and have been a part of the human journey throughout time.  Painful experiences and circumstances are an opportunity to discover the unknown resources of power within each of us.

Amongst my deepest ethos and practice orientation remains true:

A problem is never the true problem, what matters most is how we orient ourselves around that problem.

An empowering awareness is, we can’t avoid pain. We can avoid suffering.

At its most extreme, the conditions of these cycles are brought to surface through unforeseen life events such as trauma, illness, accidents, death, divorce, financial loss, or any other past or present life circumstance.

Many of us do not even recognize what is occurring, as it is hidden within the pain and chaos of ordinary life.

But we are all here to live our purpose.  Which means, if we are to bring our unique gift or medicine to the world, we must go through the experience of wounding, death and rebirth, and conscious post-traumatic growth before we can live in the fullness of our truth.

Our challenges are the lessons that lead to our own personal power where wisdom can emerge.

In psychology, this has been studied and is known as

‘POST-TRAUMATIC GROWTH’.

This phenomena says that when we experience trauma of any kind, we have the opportunity to be reset in the aftermath of the trauma, which is always a mindset choice.

The viable opportunity exists to have an even more meaningful life after the trauma when we choose to lean into the growth opportunity from the pain or loss.

Simply put, experiences open us to greater wisdom when accompanied with the conscious right action.

This has everything to do with our consciousness and choosing to align with what truly matters to us, which we often only discover after the trauma occurs.

Clarity, trust, self-love and self-worth, and discernment of what is ours to transform and what is not ours to carry forward are the qualities we must cultivate in order to support the growth of wisdom in our lives so that we may walk our path of purpose and fulfillment.

It is taking what we have experienced and learned, and transforming our lives to co-create with this new understanding and meaning for ourselves, and for the world around us through our purpose and meaning.

Exploring the wounded parts of ourselves is how we open to the ultimate possibility that is our life.

Awakening our consciousness and leaning into the pain opens the door to a truly unimaginable possibility.

Living a deeply awakened life is so magnificent and so far beyond most of what we see in the world that even when we experience it for ourselves, we often find it hard to accept that life could be this extraordinary.

But for us to make room in ourselves for the miraculous to take root, we must uncover, and ultimately restructure the belief in a life of limitation and examine our relationship with pain and suffering.

This deeply rooted and often unconscious limitation subtly holds us back from taking the steps of trust required to truly experience our own personal freedom and create a life we love living.

Speaking from personal experience, I know how grateful I am for the traumas in my life.

Although the pain I have experienced personally felt excruciating and unrelenting at times, I would not have become the person I am, fulfilled by the work that I do, and conscious of my authentic Self if it were not for these experiences.

I chose to lean into my post-trauma growth. I sought out healing, I turned inward, I explored my pain and relationship to suffering, I grew a relationship with my subconscious patterns. I became conscious of what I was meant to learn from the pain and who I could become because of it.

My orientation to trauma was to witness the growing edge that was available to me through its discovery and unfolding. In doing so, I vaporized my suffering and became empowered by my pain.

This was my awakening process and the pathway to my highest self.

You can awaken too. It’s never too late to change your relationship with suffering and trauma.

An awakening is not just a glimpse into the future — it’s an awareness of what is already true within you, here and now. What is aching to be birthed through you from your divine blueprint.

This is who you were born to be. It’s your true power, your essence, your genius, and the source of your prosperity and happiness.

When you are cut off from the truth of your essence, you don’t just fail to fulfill your true potential, you experience a disconnection from this divine pattern in you.

That’s why the many attempts people make to solve “the problem/ sickness/ suffering” don’t work — because they are symptoms, not the root cause.

When we rediscover our truth and begin to align with and activate the latent power within us, our suffering dissolves.

This is when miracles can happen.

Are you ready to experience miracles and live out your true purpose?

Are you ready to have trust and faith that no matter what challenges and pain arrive in your life, you are equipped to consciously traverse them and be stronger for it?

I invite you to explore the possibilities with me as your guide.

Trusting the Sacred Timing in Your Healing Journey

It can feel really frustrating when you’re trying to shift a pattern, release a behavior, forgive a relationship or heal from trauma, and can’t seem to get there.

Despite your best intentions and devoted commitment to doing the work, and doing it in so many different ways – peeling back the onion, walking the spiral – all of it.  The reality is, we must release the timeline of our healing in order for that healing to truly arrive.

When we allow ourselves to let go of the timeline, we’re reminded that there are sometimes many cogs that need to turn, that are not just our own, in order for the true healing to happen.

Sometimes it can be connected to many other people within your system, whether it’s your family system, your relational framework, friendship, social circle, or ancestral line.

And while we can be devoted to doing our own work, there can also be many threads, both seen and unseen, that are interweaving to conspire towards that true state of healing.

This is one of the great mysteries of life, particularly when it comes to ancestral patterns and breaking cycles within a family or within a system. (And by the way, our family of origin patterns are always played out in our romantic partnership frameworks until we Consciously heal).

So, if you’re doing all the work, yet still feeling frustrated with not being able to move through your pain or suffering – remember to trust the timing.  It is all part of the sacred mystery.

A Divine order. A Divine timing. A Conscious collaboration.

Keep inviting yourself to soften into the mystery. Your path is unique.  You’re courageous for being willing to move through your pain and choose your liberation and ultimate enlightenment.

So have faith, and trust that healing is happening every moment of every day. And, rest into the mystery of the timing.

Healing is happening and it will happen.

I’m with you.

The Role of Spiritual Psychology in Personal Growth

Spiritual Psychology is the blending of science and spirituality to create meaningful relationships and live in harmony with oneself and the world.

I often feel curious about people and their values. I find patterns in people through the organized process of observing values in others.

When people show up at my proverbial door it’s because simply put, they are out of alignment with their values which is causing them distress, dysfunction or disharmony.

The people who are drawn to the work I do have a value around growth and evolution. They don’t want to find temporary relief, rather they seek fundamental change. And they are willing to do what is required to achieve it.

After over a decade of doing this work, I have observed my most successful clients have something in common with my own values and they leverage my values, experience and expertise in identifying behavioral patterns and working to swiftly transform them at the root.

These clients are aligned with an openness, a devotion, a connection to a field of energy, and a connection within themselves, a higher power, a commitment to their soul’s progress, a willingness and ability to think beyond their current circumstances.

All change and progress exist in the unknown, beyond our current level of consciousness.

The secret sauce is embracing the unknown. The truth is, if smart people knew how to solve their own challenges, they would do it. We must admit to what we do not know. We must welcome a greater knowing, and dive fearlessly into it.

There is opportunity in the surrender, the

powers greater than us, the mentor who has

walked this weary path of life and fully

welcomed it, Consciously.

We cannot change anything we deny or defend.

We cannot transform anything we are

unconsciously perpetuating.

We must welcome full awareness and step boldly

into the unknown.

Clients who do well with me are willing to take a leap of faith into the unknown, to try new things to heal which venture beyond the conscious mind, self limitation, habits, compensatory strategies, victimhood and the traditional standard constructs of a psychological framework.

All change lives beyond these realms, into the infinite.

We must reach beyond our minds, our emotions, and our behaviors into the unseen realms, of our spiritual Self, our energy systems, the fields of consciousness and containers in and around us.

Clients who thrive are those who inhabit a value not just for science but also for spirituality.

What does this emergent concept of Spiritual Psychology mean?

To me, spiritual psychology is not a reference to any religion. But rather it is far more comprehensive than that. (Which is why I work with people from all cultures, faiths, and religious dogmas).

Spiritual Psychology bridges science and spirit. Spiritual psychology is about Conscious relationships.

The relationship with Self, others, Creator, Earth, to the future, to the past, and to our harmony with all these things NOW.

Therefore, it is integral that we know our true values within all these meaningful relationships so we may live in harmony with ourselves.

And the deepest truth of our spirituality is not merely scientific: biology, psychology and sociology, but it is essential we understand our stories and beliefs because they represent the meaning of our life, our spiritual Self, in its most exalted form.

I had the privilege to travel to the GaiaSphere headquarters in Colorado to attend an intensive training on the Science of Resilience with two of my mentors, and industry greats; Dr. Bruce Lipton, Harvard Biologist and stem cell researcher using quantum physics, and Gregg Braden, geologists and expert researcher of Ancient Civilizations and codes.

I could share much about the training, but what I will share stood out above all else – these two men are unapologetically themselves.

They are not limited by their industry standards or expectations to conform. They dare to stretch beyond the norm (who wants to be normal anyway), to explore truly novel and enlightened concepts, truths and Consciousnesses beyond the standard.

It is evident in the essence of who they both are, respectively, they live in joy, gratitude, generosity, high frequency growth, infinite intelligence, and brilliant awareness. They are seekers.

You know those people who just radiate light? Who feel luminous to be in their presence? Who lift the vibration of the entire atmosphere? These two do that effortlessly. It’s not a persona, it’s a truism.

How do they do this in such an uplifting way?

They live in alignment with their values. Not just their linear scientific minds, but they blend that intelligence with inspiration by also inhabiting their spiritual selves. The two parts don’t work as powerfully without the other. They are complementary parts. Both essential.

We are most wise when we recognize we are limited by what we know.

We must forget what we remember so that we may remember who we are: Spirits, having a human experience.

Science helps us understand how we can use our minds to override our biological genome and untangle ourselves from the belief that we are predisposed to suffering.

The new sciences of epigenetics and quantum mechanics recognize the important role of the invisible fields in controlling life, which includes the thoughts and energies that contribute to our reality.

If it is true (and it is), that we are the source of our suffering, then that is actually really good news. It means then that we can be the source of our liberation.

This new awareness changes our old worldview. We now know that we control our genes and our entire lives.

We are not limited.  We are powerful.

We must be able to engage our personal power, through intuition, and Consciousness in order to experience the things we long for.

This is how life begins to re-organize around us, and our unique vision can finally come into focus.

I don’t know about you, but I’m feeling especially inspired to share impact with eager souls ready to glow in their own brightest light. In my practice I blend science and spirituality and stretch you into the unknown.

If this work aligns with you, or even if you’re curious to try something new to heal, it would be my great honor and joy to share these unique tools of quantum healing and Conscious psychology which will change the way you interface with the world and create a life you truly enjoy living.

Through my work, I offer a container of deep individual healing, along with guidance in how to integrate these new awarenesses in practical and real ways in your life for your specific path and purpose.

When Trauma Leads to Transformation

Exploring the profound truth that while pain is inevitable, suffering is optional. Learning to lean into growth transforms trauma into wisdom through conscious action.

Integrating the Shadow

We are not meant to stay wounded. We are supposed to move through our tragedies and challenges and to help each other move through the many painful episodes of our lives. By remaining stuck in the power of our wounds, we block our own transformation. We overlook the greater gifts inherent in our wounds – the strength to overcome them and the lessons that we are meant to receive through them. Wounds are the means through which we enter the hearts of other people. They are meant to teach us to become compassionate and wise.
-Carolyn Myss

When our minds dominate so much of our lives, we tend to feel internally fragmented.

The nature of the mind is to seek understanding and safety.

Splitting life into good/ bad and right/ wrong is a very natural process because it helps us to survive. But splitting life into polarities also creates tremendous suffering within us.

Why?

Because we grow up learning that some parts of us are “good” while other parts of us are “bad.” We then attach to the “good” parts of ourselves and repress or deny the “bad” parts of ourselves.

When we start to perceive ourselves in a fragmented way, we feel flawed, lacking, and incomplete. We start to feel insecure, anxious, lonely, depressed, and in some extreme cases suicidal.

Our true essence has been diluted. ⠀⠀

We greatly crave to love and embrace ourselves, but how can we fully accept who we are when we hate some parts of ourselves and love other parts?

When we integrate, we unite different parts of ourselves that may have been missing.

It is in this process we can begin the journey toward true healing.

In order to repair, heal, and grow on a mental, emotional, and spiritual level, it’s important to visit the darker parts of ourselves, often called our Shadow.

The Shadow isn’t just the wounded part of us, but it is also the path towards a more authentic and fulfilling life, a path to becoming whole again.

It may feel frightening at first, but it’s the most important step if you want to experience deep, lasting healing.

But you don’t have to do it alone.

I can offer loving guidance as you peel back the layers to all parts of yourself so you may reconnect to the truth of who you are.

When the timing feels divine, please know that I am always here for you.

The Liminal Space

What has the new year birthed for you as you now settle into February?

It is my belief that whatever is most alive for you in the present moment, and the surrounding energy, internally or externally, has value to offer.

Activations hold wisdom to share about how you orient yourself to an obstacle. Do you re-enforce the pattern, or do you evolve beyond it?

In the Northern Hemisphere, we are in the midst of winter, and on the surface nature appears to be dormant and depleted of life.

Yet, it is not. Much is happening here.

Snow has just fallen, branches are naked, and the adjacent mountains blanketed in white. The water has frozen into ice.

Everything feels cold, slow, quiet and still. Yet, I am acutely aware of the ephemeralness of life.

My internal landscape echoes this sentiment as I have blocked time away from clients, family, friends, partnership, electronics, social media, rushing, giving, and doing – to just be inside the holy chamber of my heart. To live presently and completely inside my body and the ways it’s asking to be nurtured and where it is ready to grow next.

A conscious pause.

Are you experiencing a hibernation like this?

Under the ground, the energy of the nature of earth is stirring, and a sweet life force is awakening…

By acknowledging this transition, we are consciously honoring the space between the seasons, the liminal space. The subtle energy of life. The fertile void between worlds.

In this way, we may honor the experiences within our own lives and timelines – the in-between spaces of life and the multiple dimensions of our being.

It’s normal to feel an emptiness or loneliness, because what once was, is now gone, and what will be, has yet to fully manifest or arrive.

I am noticing the polarization between worlds. I am allowing myself to linger in this subtle energy separate from the past, and the future. Fully present with what is.

There’s a profound power that lives in ‘the space between’.  It’s the subliminal void when what was has ended, and what follows next hasn’t yet begun.

I am aware of the anticipation stirring.

This is a sacred pause essential for growth. In the liminal space, infinite possibilities exist, but none have been chosen or experienced.

In order to make room within ourselves for the miraculous to take root, we must linger in this void of cosmic consciousness.

Welcome the sacred pause.

Surrender our known life of limitations, fear and control.

My hope for you is to embrace this time of hibernation trusting that alchemy happens here. Your spirit grows and evolves inside the container of this inward dimension of stillness and quietude because all has slowed down enough to allow the discomfort to emerge, to fully feel it, and to consciously open to more.

The divine intelligence of nature, the growing energy of the season is supporting you in that powerful work.  Rhythmic harmony.

I chose to consciously harmonize with this liminal space in order to discover more of my true nature and my current highest evolution.

I came here because my heart craves this sacred wisdom.  It is not at peace without embarkation into the void.

When you enter silence and stillness can you truly meet yourself there?
Do you dare linger in the chamber of your heart and truly listen?
Would you be willing to let go of who you are and what you think you believe to become even more?

May you know your worthiness at the deepest level, today and every day, and witness your connection to the greater cycles of life separate from your traditions, rituals, culture, religion, ceremonies, spirituality or faith practices.

It is all just a mirror for you.

From my solitary sojourn of yoga, meditation, basti, and so many Ancient East Indian healing rituals and practices and journeys this week, I have found you lingering in my heart still, and I simply wanted to welcome you into your own reflective container, whatever that is for you.

Welcome newness, welcome the unknown.

It is my experience and belief that ALL MIRACLES exist in this holy landscape.

My sincere wish is that you illuminate and greet the miracles meant for you.

Holy Spirit,

giving life to all life, moving all creatures,

root of all things,

washing them clean,

wiping out their mistakes,

healing their wounds,

you are our true life,

luminous, wonderful,

awakening the heart

from its ancient sleep.
